… to "Peaceful Roots Yoga" Nov 7, 2020
First of all, I wish to say a huge welcome to you all! I hope you will find "Peaceful Roots" to be an online space which helps you to feel more connected with your inner self and to find a little bit of 'zen'. The past year has been incredibly challenging for us all, but yoga and meditation can help us live in the moment, allowing the outside world to drift away. I have established this blog to share yoga, meditation and mindfulness techniques, which allow us to embrace the moments of joy that each day allows for our mind, body and spirit.
I discovered yoga and meditation at a young age, with it always helping me to feel more grounded... Finally, this year, I enrolled in what I thought I would only ever dream of! When scrolling through a never-ending newsfeed, I came across a 200hr, certified, face-to-face, Yoga Teacher Training Course in Hatha Yoga... thrilled to see that it was taking place in my locality, I jumped at the opportunity for the experience to train alongside other yoga enthusiasts, who shared their wealth of knowledge and experience with me! So, now, I would love for you to join me as I share this incredible journey and encourage you to rediscover your own path to peace and contentment in this crazy, technological world.
Alongside my Yoga Teacher Training, I am a full-time university student, studying Anthropology (study of human cultures and societies) and a keen enthusiast of natural living (enjoying activities such as gardening, baking, spinning, etc.). So, I will also be sharing other aspects of my lifestyle as well, such as, the ways in which yoga is incorporated into and relates to spirituality, ethnomusicology (music of different cultures) and other cultural traditions.
"Peaceful Roots" will, therefore, allow you to not only develop a deeper understanding of yourself, but also of the world around you! If you are interested in any of the above, or simply wish to learn more, then this blog is the perfect place for you!
I really look forward to sharing this journey with you.
Warmest Wishes,
Niamh x
